radio works great. Yes there is an antennae. Staions are also easy to program

Please try again later.I use mine in my basement mostly and yes it has an antenna and when in the basement this boombox picks up stations where my cell phone loses all reception haha. As for night time listening, the volume adjustment is quite accommodating loud to soft, if you wondering about any light it gives off theres a screen in the front (behind open docking station when i-whatever device is in it), and it's minimal in my opinion, it will only display what the boombox is doing (radio/cd/i-whatever) and the light that does show looks more like a white light than a blue light. Yes, it's a great little radio to listen to any time of day. I don't have an iPod but may get one, who knows, with 8 C cell batteries it should play a long time.
