According to the instructions that button on the bottom left is not currently in use. That means that it was left non-operational on purpose. I don't think you can program this remote to control the TV. There were no instructions for programming the remote control.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm unsure as to the unmarked button but one way to control the box and TV is to purchase a universal remote that will control both devices. That's what I did with one (universal remote) I had in a drawer.

I recommend one of the remotes below they work for about every device that has ever had a remote and have different models depending on your price range!
