Q: QuestionDoes this unit support HDMI ARC? I would like to send the audio from my Samsung MU8000 TV's HDMI ARC connection to an Audio Extractor, then connect the Extractor's Digital Optical output to my Yamaha Receiver's Digital Optical input.

• A:Answer To serve your purpose, you may check this product NS-PG95503 (HDMI to VGA convertor). Connect your HDMI source to NS-HZ340, then connect to NS-PG95503, and then connect to your projector with VGA cable. From the NS-HZ340, you can get audio output; from your projector, you can get video output. So, this product NS-HZ340 only have HDMI output, can not connect to VGA projector directly.

Q: QuestionI have an EPSON EX9220 projector and the sound is horrible. Can I use this Audio extractor with it? If so, what would work best for sound to hook up to it? A soundbar or regular standard speakers?

• A:Answer Yes, after extracting audio signals, it can still pass HDMI video to the HDMI projectors for display. And either soundbar or regular speakers are fine, the audio quality is not related to audio types, but related to the speakers sound performance.

Q: QuestionShould this device work with a Roku stick plugged into HDMI in, RCA cables going to an Insignia sound bar, and HDMI out going to a projector? I tried this setup, and I didn't get a video or audio signal coming through to either device on the other end.

Q: QuestionIssues connecting my late 2019 Macbook pro. USB-C adapter > high-speed HDMI cable > HDMI-in. Picture appears for 10 seconds and goes blank. Extractor is connected to Epson Home Cinema 1060. HDMI direct from laptop to projector works fine. What gives?

Q: QuestionWill the hdmi audio extractor provide a dolby digital 5.1 bit stream and send it to my Yamaha DSP-A1. The Yamaha has an original Dolby and DTS decoder, will it decode what a Fire Stick is offering.

If that is what you need to do, there are alternate devices at Best a buy that will do the job of converting HDMI into the older legacy connections.
