QuestionDear Support, I would like to split the optical sound from an Apple TV 4K and channel the audio into a Harman Kardon AVR45 Receiver with Dolbie Digital 3 Will this device separate the optical audio without problems? Also, what type of hdmi cable?

- Answer I bought an extractor from Amazon and it didn't work at all. Found this one at my local best buy and it works exactly as it should. Any hdmi should work. My surround system only works with an optical cable. I had issues at first, but found i had to switch the tv audio settings to 7.1 channel surround. Works perfect with no issues at all.

QuestionI have a Samsung TV that only supports HDMI 1.4. When I plug my Roku Ultra directly into the TV (via 1.4 cable) it adapts to the TV, displaying only 1080p fine. When I plug into Insignia (via 2.2 cable), and Insigia to TV (via 1.4).. I get blank static

- Answer The application of Xfinity & NS-HZ340 is different. NS-HZ340 is an audio extractor which can separate video & audio from HDMI. Xfinity is a streaming box. The purpose of them is different. NS-HZ340 can't replace Xfinity.
