QuestionHow many times can you use the cleaner disk before you should discard it?

- Answer I think you can keep using it until you notice the tiny bristles have become bent over such that they would no longer reach the laser lens. The plastic disc holder it comes in keeps the disc raised so that the bristles are not touching the bottom of the holder during storage. It is important to keep the original disc holder it comes in for that purpose.

QuestionI insert the insignia disc. Tells me to fo to track 9 and immediately says cleaning is over and listen to music through track 14. Is it working so quick. Can I start at track 1 and just let all 14 tracks play instead of going to track 9.

- Answer If cleaning a CD player it says to go to track 2, gives further instructions, etc. -- yes -- seems to be a short cleaning period -- I figure it's working properly!

QuestionI have placed my Insignia Laser Lens Cleaner in my Sony Blue Ray DVD player and the screen registers "unknown". When I hit "play", it says "cannot play back this disc". It says on the Lens Cleaner that it is good for Blue Ray.

- Answer When I bought the Insignia Laser Lens Cleaning Disc, I read in the fine print that this disc would not work in newer players. My players are Daewoo and Sanyo DVD/VCR combination players over 10 years old and this disc worked in both . My funai is also 3 way DVD/VCR combination player as well as a recorder, and this disc cleaned it as well! Always read the fine print before anything you buy to see what it can and can not work with! Note: This product did clean my Funai DVD player but the instruction format is just a bit different than on my Daewoo or Sanyo players, still after cleaning my picture on my screen was just as good or not better than when I first bought all 3 of my players!

- Answer since I don't have your media & player in front of me, I suggest that you do two things: (1) use the laser lens cleaner on your player, it's just a good maintenance procedure; (2) get a microfiber cloth and gently wipe from the center hole to the edge of the disk, do the entire disk. never, never, never wipe the disk in circles. handle the disk by its edges as finger oils and crud will affect media playback. Personally, I borrowed lots of media from the public library and simply cleaning the disks worked wonders. I never needed to go beyond a disk cleaning, but there are disk repair kits available that probably will work fine on minor scratches. Another option might be to upgrade to a Blu Ray version of the problematic DVD. Off topic suggestion - get a streaming player for your TV, I use a ROKU and there's a gold mine of a free content from network news & channels, concerts & music channels, b/w cartoons that are genuinely funny, great movies & lousy ones too. Covid 19 blues & ROKU to the rescue.

- Answer Cleaning disc is reusable. If the Bose unit has 4 standard disc slots I would expect it to be compatible, but I have no immediate knowledge of the Bose unit.

- Answer Once it's done playing it's track, it's cleaned the lens. Playing a track causes it to spin, which lets the bristles brush the lens that reads the disc.
