Yes - very hard to open. It does slide out when you push the button well enough, which is difficult bcuz the button is recessed. Solution - comes off easily if you use a pencil eraser to push the button while sliding it off.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The battery compartment is very difficult to open. You push the button, but the slide function does not work very well. My clip fell apart as well when I tried to use the light.

Applied some scotch tape over the holes for the clip where the pin fell out so it won't happen like it did on the 1st one. Still did not work well for me though--see review below.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This device actually powers itself with each click. There's no battery to replace. The outside housing looks like it would come off, but it's just what the clicker rides inside. It is all one unit and cannot be disassembled.
