Where is the handstrap? null

When case is open and the cover folded back, it is the elastic strap that your fingers are to slip under. Not really a "strap" but it does help hold the iPad more securely

The hand strap is on the outside front cover. You can wrap around the other side and it keeps it securely closed. My son uses it to hold the case when he has it open. So far it's been durable.

It is inside the cover of the case.
