A: When case is open and the cover folded back, it is the elastic strap that your fingers are to slip under. Not really a "strap" but it does help hold the iPad more securely

Great cover for my ipad
This cover works great for my ipad. I was going to purchase a cover that was quite a bit more expensive, but I decided to give this one a try. First of all it was a great price, but it has great features as well. I love that I can stand my ipad on a counter to view in multiple positions. I also like the strap that allows me to hold onto my ipad with one hand securely. Great product.

Insignia iPad mini Slim Folio Case
These are great, just as good as the more expensive name brand ones. I purchased my first one after seeing it at the store. Almost two years later I dropped the iPad. The corner of the folio case cracked, but it protected the iPad. An identical replacement was on sale at Best Buy, so I purchased my second one. Not only does it protect the iPad, it works well, doubling as a stand for the iPad. It fits perfectly. I highly recommend it.
