Most smartphones, tablets, and laptops are dual voltage rated (meaning they can accommodate 110 to 220 V. If this is the case, you only need an adapter and not a converter. Don't waste your money as adapters are much cheaper. Check the voltage rating on the iPod. These for some reason can vary.
