A:AnswerOn any Roku TV the Ethernet port is an input to stream data to as an input. This device supports being an Output. Converting 3.0 USB to an Ethernet input. Plugging it into an input could cause damage, Perhaps. But it surely is not going to work. Sorry......I know as I own a Sharp / Roku 43" TV, Roku Ultra and one of the Platinum 3.0 USB to Ethernet adapters and about 2 years using all of them. I use the Roku Ultra to WiFi to remote TV and still can use 2 Roku's on my Main (living room) TV. I have different channel groups on the 2 different Roku's. More flexibility.

A:AnswerIf your laptop already has an Ethernet cord; you won’t need this device. It’s meant for devices that doesn’t have an Ethernet cord connection built in. If you didn’t have a Ethernet port; you can plug this into your laptop using a usb connection, for you Ethernet cord.
A:Answerneeds a different adapter other than vga, the port should have a little symbol on it, google something like “other adapters like vga” and it will show different ones pertaining to your outlet
