I purchased this unit specifically because it works with HomeKit in May of 2020. I have had no issues with the functionality of this device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The way its set up it doesn't rely at all on any third party or best buy servers. Connects and gets setup directly in HomeKit. You just add it directly to the built in Apple Home app on your phone as soon as you turn on the device for the first time. There is no other third party app for this device. This is the direction Best Buy is trying to move with their insignia devices. So they don't need to maintain a specific smart home app.
