A simple way to confirm the wiring is okay is to push the green button on the Insignia Controller on the ceiling quickly once. If the door does not move, it means: 1- the cable is not plugged in all the way to the controller, or 2- the wires are not inserted in the terminals on the back of the motor unit all the way or 3- the wrong pair of terminals are used on the back of the motor unit or 4- you have an incompatible garage opener. Check your garage opener's wall mounted control button, if it has a "Learn" or "Program" button it is not compatible. Sometimes the learn button is hidden under a folding panel. You can see the verified compatible models here: https://connect.bestbuy.com/GDC
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check to make sure that this unit is wired into the same place as your button on the wall. You either are not wired into the same place, your wires are not correct, or the wires are not plugged into the unit all the way. Seeing the status change shows that the door sensor is working with the unit. The unit honking tells you that the unit is getting commands from your device. The wiring is the only thing left to check
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could also be you have the main unit hooked up to the wrong contacts
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure the device wires are properly connected. Sounds like it’s not sending signal to control mechanism. When you tap to close, you should hear a series of 3 beeps and then the door closes. If you’re hearing tat, then it’s your wiring to garage door opener panel on motor. Good luck
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a similar problem, door sensor was stuck. Try resetting the main unit by holding down the green button for about ten seconds then check the small door sensor to make sure the ball is moving freely. On my door when it was open the sensor wasn’t allowing the ball to move away from the bottom of the sensor (assuming you don’t have it upside down) and that was what was causing my issue
