Got mine to work just type this without the quotes "http://captive.apple.com/hotspot-detect.html" while connected to your Insignia Smart Plug using Chrome and then it will ask you to open the Insignia app... confirm and then proceed with setup. Was driving me crazy until I figured it out, it seems Safari has issues while trying to set it up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sounds like exactly what happened to my NS-SP1X7. Worked fine. Then recently self disconnected. Unable to reconnect after multiple attempts. I am wondering if it is an iOS11 problem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hold the button down on the outlet for 10 seconds to reset it. Then reinstall it with the light blinking. Take your time. When you connect to the Insignia-XXXX Wi-fi, wait for the login screen -- don't tap Done right away. Your networks should show up eventually. Select yours, enter the password and Continue. Then wait for it. It took me about an hour to get mine to connect to WiFi..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem setting up with IOS 11......my problem was that I wasn't following the instructions properly and instead of moving forward, I should have hit the top right button on the app. That worked. But I spent an hour trying to do this and until i did that, it didn't work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So first before trying anything, make sure the green light is flashing on the plug. If not, hold the button down for 10 seconds until the light starts flashing. Once done, go to your insignia app first, select add new device and then go to the Settings app on your phone -> WiFi and select the Insignia plus in WiFi list. Once it connects to it, there will be a pop up within the WiFi setting saying please wait. Now, when it shows a list of wireless networks you can connect to, don't select any of them. Instead, press 'Done' on the right top corner and go back to the app. From there, you should be able to connect to your preferred wireless network and setup the plug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
