• A:Answer I have this disposal installed with a switch on the wall; however, I had my contractor install a plug under the sink to plug the device in. My assumption is you would just need to replace the power cord to hard wire it. Hope this is helpful.

• A:Answer I had some problems with the similarities of a couple units also. The 14 3/5 is from the bottom of the sink and includes the attachment device to the sink . The 7 1/4 is correct. I measured multiple times and double checked at the store.

• A:Answer The only charge is for a non-standard installation issue if you have the package. We had a reasonable charge because there was no previous disposal and a wiring box had to be installed at the existing receptical and a new receptical and switch installed. This was non-standard but reasonably priced.
