Asked by jayb2618.
- A:Answer About 2 of the 50lb sand bags. It is a little about 1/2 hp and the hose connections to this pump are 1 1/2 inches. They sell fittings for it on Amazon if you need it. I had to get some because my pools hose connections were 1 inch.

Q: QuestionWould this pump be the best option for our Bestway 20X48 above ground pool?
Asked by Kahana.
- A:Answer I have a 12x 22 and that's the pump that came with the pool. And I would have to say no!!! I wouldn't go with anything less than a 3000gph. I feel like above ground pools are set up to fail. If you ever seen a pump that belongs to an inground pool you would understand. My mother has an inground pool that's the same size as my above ground and the pump is 20 times the size
