After contacting Intuit and Bestbuy three different times, it was Intuit that got me fixed. I had the same problem and couldn't download the software with the key they provided. I had to reach out to Intuit support and had them verify the key. Once it was verified, they sent me a download link and a new key. So it's Intuit that has to fix the problem.
