“I am seeing that alot of people are getting charged fees of $140 with turbotax deluxe. Why are people incurring additional fees this year? In the past I do my federal and state and efile my federal at no charge. Is this still the case with 2020?”

Only fee I was hit with was $25 filing fee. (I think it was for state) If you have multiple states or opt to pay for their audit coverage then you will be charged more. They will do an audit risk near the end of your taxes. Mine is always low....so I don't bother with thier paid service.
