You won't have to pay anything extra to e-file your federal return, but you will for your state return. I typically e-file my federal return and print/mail my state return.

I have used TurboTax for numerous years and have NEVER had to pay additional for e-filing my State Taxes. The Federal e-file as well as 1 state e-file is included for EACH individual tax return that is submitted. I do complete taxes for myself and my mother and neither has additional fees for e-filing. (Perhaps in different states it is different but I do not see why this would be the case. The software INCLUDES the 1 state e-file option. If you need to do more than one state then perhaps you pay but that I never needed to do). Good luck.

Please try again later.we do the same every year. we file federal for us and kids for free after buying the software; and fill out the state portion online, then print our state return out and file it through the mail. don't feel like paying the fee to file the state taxes.
