It comes with a charger that has an attached cable that plugs into the back. Note, this unit uses a lead-acid battery -- not Lithium-ion -- so it is best to leave it on the charger when not in use. Most importantly, my unit came with a worn-out battery (probably sitting around too long in the box, discharging) so you need to check that the battery will hold a charge (full bars on front of radio after charging) when not on the charger immediately or consider returning. I got the unit on sale and wound up replacing my battery ($30 at Amazon) so ate the charge. It will take hours to recharge the battery normally.

ION does not support the item, which means you will have to buy the replacement battery yourself before you will be able to use the item. Yes, it has a power cord. The item can be used while plugged in. The crank and solar features are more of a gimmick than anything else. It would take 60 hours to charge the battery with the solar panel, and 15 hours to charge the battery with the crank. Those times are approximate based on numbers provided in the owners documents.
