Q: Questioni bough one a couple of days ago and on those two days, the unit worked as advertised. today, the sensor is not working. i have had to press the release button to open the cradle.

• A:Answer I am sure that pressing the button is the only way to mechanically release your phone. It automatically grasps the phone, but it only releases with the button push. This provides a way to make sure that the phone will not drop out in an unsafe manner.
