• The sensor makes it avoid rugs so you don't need to move any rugs when Braava is working.

• The robot will change directions when it senses a rug. I do not pick up my rugs when running the robot.

• It will change directions when hitting a rug, as long as the rug is above the hard floor area. My robot sometimes will get stuck on the flush carpeting of another room but it has no problem working around the door entry rugs or kitchen rugs.

• It will mop around rugs unless they are very thin, then they would need to be lifted up.
