• The band is not waterproof and is not recommended for swimming. It can be splashed or worn in rain however.

• No it is not, just water resistant enough so that if it accidently gets splanned under the sink, you're good! Look at Misfit.

• you can get it wet, and it is waterproof to some extent, but not for bathing which IMHO means not for swimming.

• It is splash proof which means it's fine to do stuff like dishes but it's not water proof which means you can't submerge it under water

• They have always been labeled as water resistant not waterproof so I have not tried submerging it I water.
