It hooks together so it doesn't easily fall off. Though it will loosen and you need to retighten it once in a while. I find that I just reset it when I put it on after a recharge.

Especially if you wear long sleeves, put on a jacket, carry a box, etc. This became a real problem for us because you don't always notice it until it is long gone. After losing two, we are finally giving up on Ups.
