“How do I connect my JBL 9.1 sound bar to my Sony Bravia A80j using HDMI cord?? I connected everything and it doesn’t work. I DONT want to use Bluetooth to the tv. Can someone please help me out here.”

The HDMI-ARC port on your TV should be used while the HDMI-CEC function is on. This will make your TV send the audio going down to the soundbar. Please check the manual of your TV to enable CEC.

You have to use the HDMI eArc channel on your tv and that has to go to the soundbar. Connect that to the HDMI out channel. Make sure your tv audio output is set to HDMI eArc so it sends the signal to the soundbar. Hope that helps.
