• You may check the firmware version of XTREME by pressing the volume (-) and JBL connect buttons for 2 seconds, then a voice prompt will state the current software version of your XTREME.

• download JBL Connect to your phone and run it while connected to your speaker, it will tell you if there is a SW upgrade needed and handle the upgrade for you. Very slick!!

• I would go to an app store (i.e. apple app store), and download the JBL Connect App which will provide you with the information you are requesting... hope this helps.
