“Can these ear buds be used one at a time? I like to wear one at a time when working and then charge it when it dies and switch to the other ear. Most earbuds only allow you to use the primary side by itself.”

I have seen some reviews that say the primary bud is switchable, but I haven't been able to verify that. You can use just the right side if you like without any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes they can be used one at a time like a Bluetooth phone headset. You just lose some of the touch control options. Either can be connected to your phone when using both earbuds.
