Had a problem getting it to open at first. Just loosened the knob and kept fiddling with it till it got freed up and opened. Think it is just locked down from manufacturing. Works fine now, no more problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The turn screw that holds the adjustable plate should be turned counter clockwise to loosen. Clearances are minimal between the two metal plates. The rubber strips on the backside are gripping pretty good so loosen turn screw all the way and jiggle it loose to move and adjust. After you get your phone fitted, turn the screw clockwise to tighten plates together. It grips very solidly. Holds my iPhone with a Defender case well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine was really stuck. I had to support one edge of the rubber bracket on a bench then used a piece of wood and a hammer to whack it open. It's well built so the slider mechanism has a really tight clearance. Once it's open, it operates nicely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a really hard time! So, my husband used liquid wrench silicon spray into the screw channel and pulled with both hands to loosen it up and it opened.lady10 I love the product, so am glad I didn't have to return it.
