It is pretty hard to take off- I had to have my husband do it and it still took a few minutes. But it protects my phone amazingly!

In past experience all the cases I've ever had for any phone are pretty tight and hard to take off. I guess they are made this way so that if it should fall off your hands the case wont pop out and the phone will be protected.
