• A:Answer Plug and play in the sense that you if: - you do not have an aftermarket head unit with pre-amps, you can still splice the RCAs to your factory wiring harness (but i wouldn’t recommend that, as it would be better to get an aftermarket stereo wiring harness for your unit, they provide more standard color coded cables to splice to, then splice from the RCA to it) - you do have an aftermarket head unit with pre-amps (this means you should already have an aftermarket stereo wiring harness), you can just connect the RCA cables (which are included) from your head unit to the amp Once the audio wires are successfully routed from your head unit to the amp and then back to your harness, all you have to do is: - splice the remote wire (blue) and power wire (yellow) to the stereo wiring harness - splice the ground wire (black) to the stereo wiring harness or ground it to your chassis This process may seem tedious and time consuming, but will save you $ and is also a good way to get into DIY car audio. There are plenty of walkthrough videos on YouTube that you can reference when performing this process, as it is pretty standard. Lastly, if this sounds like it’s out of your comfort zone, Best Buy does provide geek squad installation services (which in my area cost around $130) but you may have to wait a while (sometimes up to a month as they get backed up with orders) in order for them to get to your install. Q: QuestionDoes this amplifier make a loud "POP!" when turning the audio system off or on, or does it have relays to prevent this annoying problem. I ask because the last time I put an amp in my truck (albeit years ago), the speakers did just that.

• A:Answer I'm not sure what "the box" is, but it can be used for car audio. This amp is best used to amplify speakers that are receiving low power as the wire harness has speaker wire inputa and outputs built in. Needless to say, there are a lot of wires.

Explanation of the Power Ratings: 400W Max Power This is the peak power rating, which represents the highest short burst of power the amplifier can handle. 45W RMS per Channel (4 channels) RMS (Root Mean Square) power is the actual, continuous power output the amplifier can deliver without distortion. The KAC-M1814 provides 45W RMS per channel at 4 ohms across 4 channels. This means: 45W × 4 channels = 180W total RMS power output. Q: QuestionUsed a KAC M1824BT on a motorcycle I had several years. Installed in another motorcycle and I can't seem to pair it to my iphone 11. It sees the device, but won't pair. I saw somewhere that it's only compatible now up to an iphone 6. Is that correct?

• A:Answer I’d say if there is a spot on ther that does stay dry. I know it’s not designed to be submerged or subjected to constant water but if there is a spot inside of the hull or whatever it’s called on a watercraft that does stay relatively dry and out of the sun I’d say go for it. Not going to ruin your retirement of it doesn’t work out like you want.

• A:Answer I’d recommend using this for your front and rear speakers. But it will push the subwoofer surprisingly nice. Easy to follow wiring diagram s inside the instructions. It just won’t push your subs to the speakers true potential. Good thing is that once you’ve ran power adding another amplifier is gravy. Just run your power cable oversized to a capacitor to a fuse block and you’re good to go. That should take care of your needs unless your going to go pro audio.
