- Answer They will work fine since the RMS is rated 30 watts and the stock head unit and amp should give enough power to the speakers

- Answer No, you can just plug and play from your old speakers. Of course they probably would sound better with an amp, but I assume if that was the case, you'd be looking at much more expensive speakers.

QuestionIf I have a low-wage amplifier in a Honda element do I really need high water speakers? Can I get away with the Kenwood Road series and get a decent sound? Or should I spend more money like for the pioneers? Does it make sense to spend a lot of cash?

- Answer This is a great question. It makes sense to spend the money on good speakers if you're a audiophile and appreciate clean sound. If you're simply looking for good sound from a stock like set-up and aren't running an aftermarket amplifier, then these speakers will do the job. I have two in the rear doors of my Nissan Murano. They are powered by a Skar Audio 75.4 amplifier and do great. These offer good clean sound over the range of frequencies that you would expect from this line by Kenwood. I chose the Alpine Type S component speakers for the front doors and dash to bring the sound stage more towards the front of the vehicle for the best performance.

- Answer Honestly, the bass isn't great, but for the price, they're not horrible. You'd probably want to go for something a little more expensive if big bass is what you want. I consider these as inexpensive OEM replacements for base-level car sound systems.
