Probably would work if it supports 2 ohm which I doubt it does. Best to have separate amps anyway. You need an amp that can provide a continuous 500w and peak 0f 1000w. Then the amp line level must be adjusted so it doesn't blow the speaker. I personally like the pioneer amps. They are reliable and priced well. https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Amplifiers/GM+Digital+Series/GM-D8601 Yes I am sure you can find better ones but this amp will also drive at 1 ohm. Its very dynamic and unless you are going to a competition it will make you very happy. As for the line converter, I don't know as it depends on the head unit. Good chance it would need it.
