It depends on how you hook them up. But these amps will both do 1 ohm. Not sure which would be best in your scenario. First amp may be a little lean if you hook up as 1 ohm and 2nd amp maybe a little to much. If you are hooking up as 1 ohm the 9601 is a better choice. Possibly better to buy the kicker box that already has the 2 mounted in a box at 2 ohms. Also consider 2 10" and use the 8601. Again as I have explained to others you need to read the requirements of both. Match as close as possible or you will destroy them. A bigger amp is ok but you need to make sure you turn it down as it describes in the manual. These subs hit hard but do sound nice. Good luck!
