QuestionI just purchased a Onkyo TX-SR494 receiver and want to connect my Samsung PS-WWX79 subwoofer to it. Can I use this converter to attach the wire connections on the subwoofer to a RCA connection to the receiver?

- Answer You are better off running an adapter from wire to rca. Direct line in and no need for adjustments. The rca does t need to be converted to a low frequency since the receiver has a setting/output for bass/sub. And it’s a cheaper route.

Questioni had just bought this off of amazon but when i look up the item on the kicker website this item is the only one that comes up with a warning that it may cause cancer and birth defects? just a little concern on why or if its not a big deal

- Answer Everything but the remote must be used. This converter does not require power so it doesn’t need remote if the amp has one already

- Answer You should never disconnect anything when using the converter. Which ever speakers you tie into, a simple splice will do.
