• A:Answer Noise is noticeable, but not intrusive. You will hear it kick on, but if you are watching tv or doing something else, it will not interfere with day-to-day life. It is louder than most other models I have seen/used

• A:Answer Yes, installation and haul away has been offered and included when necessary on all of my transactions with Best Buy. I have bought many kitchen appliance sets and always receive them on time and undamaged. Best Buy has been great on exchanging an appliance when the fit conflicted with the cabinet design and it was not a product concern, they exchanged the product no questions asked. great service. One of very few retailers that actually put the customer first.

Q: Question"Produce Preserver" : the salesman could find nothing about that. What is it?I saw something in the info on this refrigerator about a "Produce Preserver." Yet the salesman could not find or demonstrate anything about it. He suggested that there was suppose to be something that stuck on the side of a drawer, but again, could not locate it. Does something exist ? Is it effective? I also could not find what is sort of standard in refrigerator these days- an air filter/odor remover.

The packets contain potassium permanganate, an oxidizing agent that neutralizes ethylene, which causes fruit to ripen and vegetables to go soft. Thus use of these packets preserves freshness.

• A:Answer The door handles are the coolest part of the design and the pictures are not making them justice. The dark side, it's just bad lighting when they took the picture. They are stainless steel and really awesome, one of the main things that draw me into KitchenAid appliances.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the KitchenAid 300 and 302? Looking through the specs, all I can see is that the 302 seems 3" taller, which gives it a claimed 10% more internal volume and a price that is 50% higher. Am I missing something?

• A:Answer Same way you do on most ice makers - there is a wire bar - raise it up and it stops the machine making ice. When the ice container is full the wire bar is also pushed up by the ice - and that stops it making ice then also.

Q: QuestionHow quiet is the compressor?I have a KitcheAid currently with a very loud compressor motor with a loud, high pitch wind that can be heard over the TV, very annoying and ESPECIALLY distarcting and irrating when you are in the kitchen. It is so MUCH louder than my dishwasher which is 55 decibels. I want a quiet fridge, as it is for a great room. Can anyone give me feedbCK ON THE NOISE LEVEL on this model.

What was your experience trying to get it fixed or replaced? I'm not having any luck with KitchenAid so far getting them to address the issue under the warranty. The appliance seller (which was not BestBuy) is also unwilling so far to step up to the place to resolve the problem.

Also, I've read that as more insulation is added to gain energy-efficiency, appliances tend to bulk up a bit. Since height is often restricted by cabinetry above, the refrigerator depth might increase.

• A:Answer There is no excuse- I spent thousands for a high end fridge and I am miserable. I can’t justify replacing but things are slipping through all the time. I’ve had broken glass jars more than once. I am looking for some fridge organizers to place at the back to make it more livable though not ideal. These are available at places like bed bath and beyond.

Q: QuestionI think the close-up photo of the water dispenser isn't actually the same. Can someone who bought confirm? In the photo the button is below the spout, which means you press glass against, I think the reality is a button above the spout, needs 2 hands.
