I made sure to sand all the bottoms of our pots and pans before use with 220, 400, and then 800. They glide on top now. The only one that I'm leary about is the cast iron pan and pot. The main issue with the glass top is staining. After you cook anything that spills over, you should wipe it up immediately after cooking when the surface is still hot.
