• A:Answer The base and motor housing is made of metal, with plastic on the knobs. The screw base for attaching the bowl is metal, too. It is a very heavy mixer.

Whirlpool/KitchenAid meets or exceeds all standards for safe materials, but our products do have cords, which causes them to make the list. Any time you have a cord, there is the potential for it to come in contact with something hazardous.

• A:Answer Yes! It comes with a wisk, a bread hook and what I call a convenient meat mixer attachment. What is really cool about it is that the bowl stays stationary while the machine rotates and mixes all the ingredients thoroughly. It's not like Grandma's old mixer, it's so much better!
