Q: QuestionMy Onkyo rec has L and R input for sub cable. it looks like this sub requires L&R too? Found a cable with 2 Males on one end & 1 on the other, but both items have L and R inputs- do I need adapter So cable has 2 males on each? pic of Rec attached.
Asked by KO.
- A:Answer No. Just plug it into "L". All of the directional information is in the higher frequencies and the sub's crossover will eliminate them anyway. There's no real directional information in the bass frequencies because humans can't localize low frequencies. So even when you plug it into the "L" only, when the tyrannosaurus (did I spell that right?) walks from left to right through your living room, it will sound correct. This is exactly how mine is wired and it sounds perfect.

Q: QuestionWill your subwoofer shut off after it isn’t in use for a certain period of time? If all of your component/ receiver is off then shouldn’t your subwoofer be too? If switched to “Auto”
Asked by Brayden.
- A:Answer Yes, but it doesn't shut off immediately as soon as you turn off your receiver. I think it takes a few minutes. Not entirely sure on the time, but it will turn itself off if you have it set to auto.
