A:AnswerI have a 2500 cubic inch room and use one of these subs and it does fine. It fills the room adequately with bass. My den is 5000 cubic inches and I prefer to use an svs ultra 16" subwoofer. It rumbles the entire den and the rooms next to it with extreme prejudice. Price for one svs ultra $2500. If you can get a great deal buy four subs. It just depends on how much you are willing to spend.
A:AnswerThis sub has a built in amp and its own power supply. Just run the RCA cable to the input on the back of the sub and plug it into the receiver output
A:AnswerIf you are using 2 subwoofers you would almost certainly want the right and left subwoofers to coraspond to the right and left channels of the audio system. You may only have 1 sub out, but your amp probably has a right and left preout. In most cases the sub out is limited to lower frequencies which makes sense for a subwoofer and the preouts will deliver full range sound to the subwoofer. This particular subwoofer has a frequency limiting adjustment to keep the sub from trying to play higher frequencies. Problem solved.
A:AnswerYou need speakers for all the ranges, just a woofer alone I don't think you would have much fun, but plenty of sore throats from people trying to sing above this Kilipsch Sub woofer.
A:AnswerI'm sure you've gotten this solved by now or hopefully contacted customer support through their website, but if they don't or haven't offered any solution, what you can do is unscrew the screws from the back of the sub and pull the amp out and the RCA prong should be down sitting in the insulation or it may be sitting on the amp PCB board and you will want to remove it if it's on the board because it can cause a short and damage like that isn't covered under their warranty because it wouldve taken user/pet error and broke it off inside of the RCA LFE port.
