You can adjust the volume (gain) on the subwoofer. I have all three of these speakers in addition to R14S surrounds and RIC65 in ceiling speakers using a Marantz SR6013. I strongly urge you to get this sub. I generally have it set to 6O%. The 15” goes down to I think 18hz whereas the 12” to only 29hz. You can really feel this sub during action scenes and when paired with the R820F’s sounds awesome when playing music. And the center channel is a beast too. I urge you to buy a receiver with the lowest amount of harmonic distortion you can afford, it makes a HUGE difference. I hope you get this sub, I’m excited for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This sub is AMAZING! I have RF-82ll and RC62ll as my front stage. Powered by an Emotiva XPA7. This sub enhances my front stage(entire system). I keep the gain less than half way on the sub. You will need to adjust the gain depending on your room size. I will be getting a second 15” sub down the road.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m running this sub with the RP8000Fs and RP404C. Everything sounds nice and balanced. If your receiver has MCACC, Audessy or another room eq/system setup program, it should automatically set all the speaker levels based on the distance to your listening position to balance the system. If you’re running a 2.1 setup or a system without the audio calibration software, there is also a level control on the rear panel of sub to allow you to match it to your preference. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't matter it is fully adjustable to whatever you have. I wouldn't go smaller you won't be disappointed!
