- Answer You can use banana plugs or put bare wire ends or spade lugs behind the banana plug nut.

- Answer Receiver is fine but get a semi powerful one because the speakers almost out power our receiver. My husband plans to upgrade our receiver as well.

- Answer You can of course. Do you need it, absolutely NOT! You can always add a sub later if you choose. The bass from these are what they say is "In the basement". You have 4 - 8 inch solid woofers aimed at ya. If you do get a sub, you really need two of them to balance things out with the left and the right. O ya pull your speakers away from the wall people! Get them a foot away from the wall for starters.

QuestionI have two R-26F floor speakers from 3 years ago. I would like to use these two floor speakers and add new ceiling speakers to make a good sound effect - 5.1 surround sound. I have Pioneer Elite VSX-45 receiver. I am open to upgrade my receiver. Thx!

- Answer I do not know alot about that receiver though looking up the specs for it, you could run them, as the 26f's are rated at 100watts. and the specs on your pioneer state its deals 80watts per channel. now if you step up to larger klipsch towers, you will want to upgrade your receiver as well something that pushes more then 100watts per channel.

QuestionI have a Sony 5.2 145 w receiver. Are these klipsh 600 watt to big for this receiver?

- Answer You can probably get away with 6 ohms @ 145W. Wiring and impedance tends to gets tricky, and is most overlooked. I am no "Pro." Yet, if it's rated at 6 ohms, you will most likely get less power at 8 ohms. However, I would go with matched. I recommend a Yamaha 8 Ohm rated receiver. Especially, the Aventage series. No. I do not work for Yamaha. I have been running Yamaha for many for years. These amps are as warm, and inexpensive as digital gets. Klipsch speakers are extremely efficient. From experience, I would dump the money into a lower rated (8 ohm) receiver, drop your cash into wiring, plugs, and watch your speakers sing! This exactly what I'm running, and happy to hear every time I watch or listen. IMHO....the best match on a budget. However, you can probably run these off of your Sony. Good Luck!

- Answer In order to get stereo you must have 2 speakers. Home theater generally requires as many as 5 or more. But if you have better (loud) speakers and a center speaker you will have a good system

QuestionI am going to buy either a 5.2 or 7.2 av. I currently have a R-10SWbutwant to add a second sub. I like TIGHT bass in music but wonder if I should add a 2nd R-10SW or a R-12SW to capture the movie sound effects better. Would a 2nd 10" or a 12" be best

- Answer These are sold as individual speakers. It surprised me when I got home, opened the box and there was only one speaker! Had to go back to the store and get another. That ended up being more money than I expected for a pair of speakers, but they sound great. I'm very happy with them.
