• no not if its on the other side of the door. i even taped my phone to the inside of the door and try to unlock it from the outside and it still wouldnt work

• Kwikset model # 99250-802 is calibrated to detect if the device is inside or outside. If the device is inside by the door the lock will not activate if it is touched on the outside.
