“Best external drive to store DVDs. I'm looking to store my DVDs on an external hard drive. Currently I have around 600 DVDs. Randomly hunting on the web this model came up recommended (as did the 6TB WD My Cloud). I am not tech savvy, so I would like the easiest and most effective way to do this without having to call a friend. Also, how much space do I need? Is four TBs enough?”

• Assuming the DVD's are single layer the 600 DVD's should take up roughly 2.5TB's of space at roughly 4.5GB per disk.

• If you ain't tech savvy, stay away from this product. I could not access my files once I did the back up and their tech support could not help either, except to say "Clear all and do another backup." Yeah, right, the first one took me four days. Uh-uh. I took the lousy thing back to Best Buy. Stick with the Seagate Back up plus and, yes, 4 TB is huge.
