Q: QuestionWhy does the website specification say HEPA filter but the manual says HEPA Type filter? Does this with the Ion feature make a difference?

• A:Answer The Use and Care Guide (Product Specifications) and Air Purifier Quick Start flyer included with the air purifier, and the Optional Filter Pack flyer included with the filter pack, state: HEPA-Type filter. Also included in the filter pack is an activated Carbon Filter and a Pre-filter. The negative ion generator is permanent according to the Guide. Per “my” internet research, some sites state a HEPA-Type filter is used in, for instance, compact and / or more economical models. As to “Why?” the difference in description on product website and manual, this is a question better answered by the manufacturer, Lasko.
