- Answer You need the Tesla adapter but otherwise should work fine. Tesla has proprietary plug this is simply the industry standard j1772

This is calculated using the formula: Power (kW) = Voltage (V) × Current (A) / 1000 Power (kW)=Voltage (V)×Current (A)/1000 For a NEMA 14-50 plug, the voltage is typically 240 volts, so: 7.68 kW = 240 V × 32 A / 1000 7.68kW=240V×32A/1000 This charger will provide fast charging for compatible electric vehicles.
