Questionwhat are the lengths of the power connect from the top module to the soundbar module and from the soundbar module to the bottom. I believe i see the total is 6 feet, but i need to know how far away from the soundbar module i can run to the bottom module

- Answer Apologies for the delayed response. Between the top and center is approximately 42 inches of wire and between the center and bottom is approximately 60 inches of wire. Hope this is what you were looking for!

QuestionI have plaster and lathe walls which always complicated things. Will this work or is it only intended for use with drywall?

- Answer The product is designed to work with drywall. There is no reason you can't use it with plaster walls, however, you may end up with cracks in the plaster depending on how fragile it is.

- Answer Yes This kit is for rerouting power and signal cables behind the wall. You will still need to mount the sound bar on the wall.

QuestionI’m having a 65 inch TV flat mounted to the wall, and the sound bar mounted n to the bottom of TV, with no gap by geek squad. THe cable TV and electric outlet are directly behind the Tv, so there will be NO cords showing. Why do I need this contraption?

- Answer It doesn't sound like you need this. This product is designed for areas where the power and cable are not located directly behind the TV. QuestionI have my tv mounted over my fireplace with my soundbar resting on the mantle. Since the outlet isn’t directly under the tv but off to the right of the fireplace, is it still possible to use this?

- Answer Yes, it's very possible. I did the same thing for my 'Great Room', though for this project I engaged the Geek Squad, since I wasn't sure 'how' to get the cables to the side of the fireplace 'cavity' either. They did an excellent job!

QuestionMy unit is going in a wall that is sheet rock and then maybe furring strips and concrete wall which is maybe half an 1/2 inch to 3/4-can I use this kit or is there something else that’s recommend it because of space

- Answer The WMC801 and similar products are designed to fit walls constructed of a minimum of 2" x 3" studs and 1/2" inch drywall. We don't have a product recommendation for your specific construction. Thank you

QuestionCould I buy this kit, but use only the rectangular box behind the soundbar? I want to install it in the wall, and wire it using Romex cable run from another outlet. Basically, installed like a normal outlet. This wouldn't violate any code, right?

- Answer Hi Broon, While you can physically use just the rectangular box behind the soundbar and hardwire it with Romex, we don’t recommend it. The SANUS In-Wall Cable Concealer Power Kit is ETL-listed only when installed as a complete kit using the included pre-wired power cable and passthrough system. Modifying it or wiring it like a standard outlet may violate electrical code and void the safety certification. If you're looking for a hardwired solution, we suggest using an in-wall rated junction box and outlet that's designed and approved for direct Romex wiring per your local electrical code.
