“This battery is just a 2 cell so does it really hold a charge for 5 hours? My current laptop was supposed to and from day 1 the 5200 mAh battery it came with only lasts 2.5 hours.”

This model has a 2CELL 30WH, Lithium Polymer battery, with up to 4.5 hours of battery life, depending on the work the device is doing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It might last 5 hours with a battery savings mode on but without battery saving mode I think it says 2 hrs 40 mins when fully charged on mine when the screen is on and the computer is being used.

But what I can tell you is the battery is set up as a tandem pair of cell-phone like batteries which are internal (inside the case) and cannot easily be removed. Also, there is supposed to be 8GB total RAM w/ one 4GB removable Ram. I am told the other is soldered onto the motherboard. I did not remove the motherboard to find the soldered in Ram so I never saw anything that I could definitively identify as Ram. (May be using the HD as V-Ram or on the Keyboard side of the MB.
