This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. 4GB of RAM are soldered to the motherboard and can't be removed. Your certified technician can remove 4GB from the memory slot and replace it with 8GB for a total of 12GB of RAM. Also your certified technician can replace the hard drive with a larger compatible drive. With regard to Sims 4, it will depend on the requirements of the game. We recommend you check with the game's software publisher's web site for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The laptop has 1 ram slot, up to 16GB (20 total) and 2 tb, yes, but you would have to reinstall Windows. A caddy can also be purchased to replace the DVD reader with a second HDD, for either 2tb, 3tb, or 4tb total. Depending on the size of each drive.
