I have had no complaints on battery performance thus far having bought the laptop a month ago. I haven't measured how long the battery last though. If I remember, I will post shortly after determining that. Upon turning on the power, Windows is ready to be logged into in about 15 seconds. About 25 to 30 seconds later you can have Google Chrome open and ready to browse.
