The chip in this unit is limited to the 15w TDP unfortunately. Indeed performance suffers on this unit because of it. I'm guessing they have done this due to thermal concerns since this is a very thin gaming laptop. And no it is not configurable, you can't even install faster RAM than DDR3-1600. I installed 16GB of DDR3-2133 and have no way of getting it to run anything beyond 1600. Very disappointing that they have clamped down the performance of the chip/chipset like this.

Current bios installed is cecn44ww. The ones listed on the lenovo website is cecn26ww so that one might be set at 35w. Not sure becuase i cant find the cecn44ww anywhere so im afraid the down flash .
