No. Steer clear. Do a search for Lenovo Y50 hinge problem. Seven pages of unhappy customers who've had theirs break between 3-5 months. Count me as one of them. It is cheap junk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would have to say no. It feels solid upfront, not much flex from the keyboard but do a search for broken hinges on these. Page after page after page. I bought mine 2 days ago. there is something defiantly wrong with the lid, touching it causes it to deflect quite a lot, deflect, not move hinge. It seems the plastic the hinge mounts to behind the glass is poorly secured to the aluminum lid. Glue? Yeah, bad. Then you have the "superfish" ordeal. Im returning mine tomorrow. Even if you remove it, should you ever have to reinstall windows, superfish will be there. I may keep it if they offer a new version of windows, a fresh, clean version, but they will not. I regret purchasing this.
